Writing a TV script

One of our assignments this year is to write a TV script.

First you will need to decide what type of programme you want to write for:

The TV news
Current Affairs
A natural history programme (about plans or animals)
A culture programme (music, arts, drama)
A comedy

Now, write your script?

No!

Now, watch the type of programme that you are going to write a script for. What do you notice? What are you going to have to remember? How many people are presenting/acting/speaking? How many cameras are being used? Are there graphics or special effects?

Watch the programme and take notes that you think will help you.
